Metal Components Plain & threaded columns. are hard chrome-plated to
give the machine a perpetual new look.
Application :
Universal Testing Machine is designed for testing metals and other
materials under tension, compression, bending, transverse and shear loads.
Hardness test on metals can also be conducted. The available capacity is 10
ton to 500 ton.
Principle of Operation :
Operation of the machine is by hydraulic transmission of load from the test
specimen to a separately housed load indicator. The hydraulic system is
ideal since it replaces transmission of load through levers and knife-edges,
which are prone to wear out and damage due to shock on rupture of test
pieces. Load is applied by a hydrostatically lubricated ram. Main cylinder
pressure is transmitted to the cylinder of the pendulum dynamometer system
housed in the control panel. The cylinder of the dynamometer is also of
self-lubricating design. The load transmitted to the cylinder of the
dynamometer is transferred through a lever system to a pendulum.
Displacement of the pendulum actuates the rack and pinion mechanism which
operates the load indicator pointer and the autographic recorder. The
deflection of the pendulum represents the absolute load applied on the test
specimen. Return movement of the pendulum is effectively damped to absorb
energy in the event of sudden breakage of specimen.

MI.SM-1003
Analogue Torsion Testing Machine
It is designed for conducting Torsion and Twist
Tests on various metal wires, tubes sheet materials. Torque measurement is
by Pendulum dynamometer System. Torque ranges can be adjusted. Torque is
applied to specimen by geared motor through gear box. Autographic recorder
can be provided to know the relation between torque and angle of twist on
specific request. The Accuracy of the torque indication is ± 1% of the
true torque. The complete system is hydraulicly damped for vibration free
Loading.

Fatigue Testing Machine
We provide Rotating Cantilever Fatigue Testing
Machines, which are used to ascertain the fatigue strength under reversed
bending stresses. The machine helps to check the fatigue life & location
of fatigue failure of metal specimens, subjected to alternating stress
cycles. Our range of Fatigue Testing Machines is well-known for its features
like reliability, durability and effective performances. We ensure that our
machines support as a cantilever, where dead weights at the free ends
through self aligned bearings allow vertical loading and rotation of the
specimen. Furthermore, we use a counter balancing lever system to balance
the dead weight of the loading assembly. There is an induction motor to
rotate the specimen and a cut off switch is used to stop the machine when it
fails. A counter which is attached to the extension of the motor shaft
through reduction gear, records the total counts of cycles to failure.

MI.SM-1010
Torsion Testing Machine for Wires & Cables
Our Torsion Testing Machine for Wires & Cables
promptly determines the number of twists required to fracture a wire sample.
The machine is available in two models, one for testing wires in the range
of 1-5mm and the other for 4-10mm length. The machine generates an output of
30, 60 or 90 rpm with the help of gear box connected with a motor. The
revolution counter shows the number of twists and stops when the sample
fails. The wire is held between a rotating and a non-rotating chuck whose
distance lounge between 1-500mm in length. Operated on 400/440 volts, 3
phase A.C supply, this machine can test wires ranging from 1-10 mm in
length.
